The email functionality provided is intended to allow users to distribute project documentation efficiently to users who don't have access to the system. It is generally assumed that users will have Outlook installed for this purpose and accordingly Outlook integration is supported. For those uers without Outlook an SMTP email capability is provided. Send email is possible via both the Outlook and SMTP routes and is in practice used most. Additional functionality has also been provided to support return of checked out attachments, send tasks or appointments via Outlook email. |
